This is an EBB or Electric Blow Back.  EBB means that it uses a motor to pull a piston back and fire like and AEG but also moves the top slide back like the real thing firing.  However this is no where near the same league as and AEG in terms of power or build quality so don't get your hopes up too high.  EBBs are very limited in power and range.

A lot of Airsofters look down on EBBs as they lack a lot in power and would rather take a good quality spring pistol as backup but I take a different approach.  I like the EBB because of the lack of power and Semi Auto firing.  I use it in a situation where I as too close to use a fully upgraded AEG (because it would hurt like hell) so as not to hurt someone.  Plus the satisfaction when someone turns around to see that they were just taken out by an EBB is great.

OK, back to the review:

The M92F is all plastic, it uses 4 * AAA batteries and a thin slide in mag.  It is a pretty good replica of an M92F but none of the parts move apart from the top slide and trigger.  Not even the safety works like the real thing instead it has a safety built into the pistol grip that has to be pressed down at the same time as the trigger for the EBB to fire.  This lack of authenticity could put people off but I don't mind.

The batteries fit in the pistol grip.  There is a small flap at the bottom that opens to allow you to insert them.

The Mags are odd, long, thin things that fit in the front of the grip and slid in from the bottom.

The most interesting thing is the blow back.  When the EBB is fired the slide on the top moves back and forth like the real thing.  The actually does nothing useful but does look pretty cool.  The movement is not as much as the real thing but it's enough to give you a good idea.

Performance is a bit of a problem with any EBB, the range is about 20 meters which is shorter than a good springer.  But the EBB makes up for it by being semi auto and with a rate of fire about 2 rounds per second you will do better than any springer.  The noise made by the slide is a little odd though, it's kind of a "Shall-lock" noise.

Conclusion

It really depends on how you feel about EBBs, personally I like them.  They are cheap and fun.  As for the M92F EBB it's a nice size pistol.  The rate of fire is OK and it's a lot of fun to use.  And considering it doesn't cost much more than a good springer pistol I would have to say it is worth the cash.
